Alicia & Brayan | Mountain Wildflower Engagements in Squaw Peak
about the session
Do you ever meet someone and become fast friends? I feel like I’ve known Alicia for twenty years, even though we only met a few months ago at her cousin’s wedding. She and I connected over Instagram and talked about anything and everything, especially how she and her then boyfriend Brayan were deciding to get married.
Alicia is meek in the perfect sense of the word: strong and kind, and totally present. Brayan is the type to observe and then make a decision, jumping in wholeheartedly. I was probably more impatient for them the get engaged than they were, especially knowing that I’d be moving out of Utah soon. I asked them if they would fill one of my available spots from my Squaw Peak mini sessions and they agreed, telling me later that the session was one of the things that ultimately confirmed to them that they should move forward and get married.
These two were engaged shortly after our session together and married soon after that, and although I couldn’t be there for the wedding due to my move from Utah to Maryland, Alicia sent me pictures all along the way that just made my heart melt. I’m so happy for these two, and so happy to be included in some part of their journey of love and happiness!
fast facts
Squaw Peak is one of my favorite places to shoot in Utah because it has beautiful settings year-round.
The wildflowers along these mountains stayed late into the summer just for this engagement shoot!
Can we all talk about these outfit inspo ideas for engagements? I loved their neutral base and the floral in Alicia’s dress.
I loved that during this session you could just feel the love and happiness radiating off these two!
These guys will forever be some of my favorite clients for just letting me “do my thing”. They trusted me and let me love on them, and that brings me the ultimate joy and fulfillment from my work.
