When you’re newly engaged, there is so much to look forward to! Some of the happiest moments of your entire life are ahead of you. As a photographer, I am super passionate about documenting those unforgettable moments so you can cherish them throughout the rest of your lives together.

A big part of honoring your memories is printing your photos off! Your engagement, bridal, and wedding photos deserve a life outside of a screen. In this blog post, I want to chat about the best ways to display your images, both at your reception and in your new home together.

Let’s dive in!

Tips for displaying photos at your reception:

-Create a slideshow to play throughout the duration of your reception. It can include your favorite love songs in the background, as well as all of your favorite images. It’ll be on for a while, so it’s a good idea to add a bunch! You can display this slideshow at the entrance in case your welcome line gets backed up, or in a quiet corner where guests can really see each photo.

- Add smaller framed photos as tablescape decor throughout your venue. This can include places like your sign-in table, gift table, and even the guests’ dinner tables. Find some pretty little frames, choose a handful of your most loved wedding photos, and give each of them a moment to shine!

- Order a few larger portraits to display in prominent places. A custom-framed photo of you and your fiance makes for stunning decor in nearly any area of your venue. At the end of the night, these photos can be taken home by you, your mothers, grandparents, or really anyone who wants a beautiful keepsake of your big day.

Pro tip:

When you’re decorating your reception, include photos from both your engagement and your bridal shoot. Definitely display your personal favorites of each, but be sure to include a mix of poses and backgrounds.

After your wedding is over, don’t let beautiful photos you’ve printed gather dust in a box– use them as decor throughout your home. Each time you look at your wedding photos, you’ll be reminded of the love in your relationship and the happy memories of your day.

Ideas for displaying photos in your home:

- Design a photo gallery to display on an open section of wall. Gallery walls are great for hallways, bedrooms, or living room spaces. You can add a mix of large and small images, or go for a more uniform look with a grid of photos the same size. The options really are endless, so have a little fun with it!

- Use your photos to create a wedding photo album. This is a must-do in my opinion! Not only is it a beautiful thing to display in your home, but it’s such a fun keepsake for future kids. Wedding albums also make fantastic gifts for parents and grandparents.

- Add smaller photos to places like your office, whether it’s at home or work. Select a few especially meaningful prints and set them on your desk or bookcase. When you’re working in a small space, it’s important not to overdo it! You will love the little reminder of your wedding throughout your work day.

Pro Tip:

When you’re choosing photo sizes for your home, opt for standard dimensions, like 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, etc. That way, you can easily swap out pictures as you take updated family photos in the coming years.

At the end of the day, your wedding photos are a reminder of the happiest day of your life. The absolute best way to cherish those memories is by printing them off and displaying them where you’ll see them regularly.

I hope these ideas are helpful, I can’t wait to see what you do!
