Fall Family Maternity Photos with the Coons

The Coon family is adorable. I am convinced that it is impossible to look at little Russell without smiling! He and his parents met up with me for fall family photos in the park, and we had a blast.
Ali and Kyle met while serving missions in Arizona for their church. She went home to Provo, UT, and he headed in that direction as soon as his mission ended to shoot his shot with her. Long story short, it worked. They got married and moved right here to Georgia to grow their cute family. They have two-year-old Russell and another little one on the way.
Ali says that there are many things that she will miss about this stage of life, including the way Russell holds both of their hands at once so they can swing him. She loves his open-mouthed kisses and his super-sweet hugs. She will miss the way he shakes his head when he says no! And how he runs with his hands behind him like Naruto.
I always ask my clients if there are any specific poses or requests for their session beforehand, and I was so excited to hear that Ali and Kyle wanted photos to capture the true essence of their family right now. They weren't looking for stuffy poses or fake smiles. They wanted movement, authentic giggles, and a session that would freeze this fun time in their lives forever.
When working with young children, I love to play games and find ways to bring out their true smiles and personalities. Sweet Russell made this a breeze with his high energy and infectious smile. I can tell that he is going to be a great big brother to his baby sibling. We made sure to get several shots of Mom and Dad alone together as well. These maternity photos will be something that the family can cherish for years to come.
I am so excited for this young family and cannot wait to see their new addition. Cheering on my clients as their families grow and change is one of my favorite things about being a photographer!
