Rex + Judy 65th Anniversary Shoot | Lyman, Wyoming
about the session
I feel so lucky to introduce you all to Rex and Judy Condos. Aren’t they just the sweetest couple? It was an honor to get to know them, hear their story, and take their anniversary photos. There is something so special about two people who’ve been in love for 65 years (!!!).
Rex and Judy got engaged when Judy was only 14 years old and they got married when she was 16. After many years, children, grandchildren, and life experiences, Rex and Judy are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary! The two live in Lyman, Wyoming where they’ve created a legacy of hard work, family, and doing what’s right.
We decided to take their anniversary photos at a local park that has a walking trail that goes down next to a golf course. The views were incredible. We walked a little bit down the trail so we could get a clear background and then headed back to the park to let them sit on a bench and enjoy some time together. It was a perfect location for Rex and Judy to just relax and spend a beautiful summer evening together.
I was heading back to Utah from northern Wyoming and planned their shoot so we’d get to Lyman right when the sky was getting gold. It was perfect. Rex and Judy laughed and helped each other walk over bumps in the road. I loved thinking about all the experiences they’d shared and honestly felt a bit jealous that they had so many years with the person they love the most.
I don’t know if I’ll ever get to 60 years of marriage (I got married wayyyy later than 16) but I love thinking about what it’ll feel like when you get to that point in life where you wouldn’t want to be with anyone or anywhere else than right there. I’m so glad I got the chance to meet Rex and Judy!
