Emily’s 2020 Graduation Photos
about the session
Spring is one of my favorite times of the year because the world is beautiful and blooming. With spring, also comes absolutely gorgeous photography sessions, and these graduation pictures with Emily are one of my favorite spring photoshoots.
Emily graduated from Timpanogos High School where she played softball, attended football games, and danced all night with her friends at school dances. She’s the girl who has a zest for life, fights for what she believes and loves her people with everything she has.
I got to know Emily really well as she was in a young women’s group I served in. After graduation, she headed down to Southern Utah University for a year of school and is currently waiting for an LDS mission call. To say I’m proud of the woman she’s become is an understatement. She is wise beyond her years, is willing to do hard things to get to where she knows she can be and isn’t afraid to take the road less traveled.
We had planned to do this graduation photoshoot, but when COVID hit, we didn’t know how we’d be able to make Emily’s pictures happen. We decided to venture out into the world together and were able to laugh, catch up, talk about future plans, and get some adorable pictures that really showcased her fire and spunk. Emily brought her older sister along to help with her outfit changes and we seriously had the best time. A perk of going out during quarantine was that the shopping center was practically empty.
Springtime at the Riverwoods in Provo, Utah is absolutely beautiful and I knew I wanted to do a spring photoshoot here. With its flowering trees, picturesque shopping center, and perfect white walls, you really can’t go wrong. We were able to get so much variety for these photos without having to travel far at all.
I wish Emily nothing but the best in her future. She has nothing but amazing things awaiting her and with her fire and spunk, I know she is going to do amazing things. Emily, if you ever come to Maryland where I am based now, please come say hi because I would love to hang with you anytime, girl!
