The Harris Family Fall Photos

This is the Harris family and they have a very special place in my heart. Their whole family is incredibly talented and kind and I am in total awe of how one family can be full of so much talent. Musicians, athletes, scouts, business owners, you name it - someone in the family does it!
I got to know this family when the mother, Kim, and I served together in our church’s youth program. Kim is smart, ambitious, organized, and gets stuff done! After she transitioned out of the program, I had the incredible opportunity to work more closely with her daughter Kassi. That was such a treat! Kassi is adventurous, brave, smart, and works hard. See any similarities between this mother-daughter duo? Not to mention their entire family is just like this!
This shoot took place on one of my favorite and most beautiful parts of the Provo River trail. It is right by Utah Lake and it is perfect for those fall colors. With the golden sun and those yellow leaves, it is *chef’s kiss* perfection. There is nothing more beautiful than Utah's changing fall colors, though, I am finding as a newly located photographer in Maryland, it is just as incredible here!
The Harris family showed up smiling, laughing, and ready to roll. We all had so much fun walking around, trying different games, and making each other laugh. Our time together flew by and we got so many great photos of them!
I was obsessed with their outfit coordination! Between the color scheme and the mix of dresses and pants, this family nailed it. A family with this many bodies and outfits to plan can seem impossible, but if anyone could’ve pulled it off with flying colors, it would be Kim.
I love photographing families so I can capture their love and joy and give them those memories to cherish forever. But I particularly loved photographing this family, not only because I know them and love them, but also because their photos exude love and happiness and I loved capturing every second of it.
