Fall Children’s Session at Worthington Farm | The Conran Kids
about the session
This adorable family is the Conran family. They just welcomed their fourth child before Christmas, and with their first child's upcoming baptism, now felt like the perfect time to get updated photos of all the kids. The Conrans are an amazing family and I am so excited to share this family photoshoot with you.
The Conran family has lived in many amazing places, including Paris! Now with the family based in DC, their amazing mom Diana homeschools all her children who are all adorable, adventurous, active, and who love spending time together riding bikes and exploring the outdoors. Gee, I wouldn't mind being a part of this fun bunch.
The location of this shoot was at Worthington Farm, which is a historic Civil War spot right outside of Urbana, MD. This field is right off the dirt road that leads to the estate and is the perfect spot for family photos. It’s easy to get to, has amazing grass, and the trees in the back give lots of depth to the location. This has definitely become my go-to location for Maryland shoots in the DC area and I highly recommend it for any family photographer in the DC/Maryland area.
This session was all about highlighting the kids and it went so well. We cycled through kids one by one as they changed and got ready in the van. Having one kid at a time for a few minutes made it so easy to work with each individual and showcase their personality. I loved that Diana wasn’t trying to make her kids be anything but themselves because that’s what makes these photos really special. I always suggest to family photographers to only take a few minutes when doing portraits of children, because their patience and willingness to smile runs out real fast!
My favorite part was when we did the sibling photos. They’re so close and you can feel they love each other so much, which I know has come from the obvious love their mom has for them. What a special family Diana has created. I am so happy to have met all these special and adorable kids!
