Mom + Babes | Cherry Blossoms at Baker Park
about the session
Does this beautiful family l look familiar? Well, they should, because I already did an amazing photoshoot with them here. During this second photoshoot, however, it was just the sweet mama + her babes in gorgeous cherry blossoms and it was absolutely stunning!
I was so excited to get to photograph Jalil, Sanaa, and Simone again. They are the sweetest family and they photograph beautifully. In general, I just love working with past clients. We already are familiar with each other so I know what they need from me as their photographer and they already have confidence in knowing what an amazing job I will do them.
Another reason I love photographing past clients again is that I get to see families grow, whether that's by adding new family members or by actual inches. It is such a fun part of doing family photos. I loved getting to see how much Jalil and Sanaa have grown and how much their little personalities are taking shape. Plus, Simone brought her A-game with this blue dress! AMAZING! It’s so fun to not only see how families change but to photograph families with different, beautiful looks each time!
Bless their hearts, it was so cold during our session but these kids were troopers! Once we got Jalil and Sanaa moving, they were happy as could be. They loved running around, looking for sticks, throwing rocks in the river, and just getting to be kids. This is my favorite way to photograph kids.
This location was shot at Baker Park in Maryland, which is definitely getting tucked in my back pocket for a go-to easy location. It's gorgeous, easy to get to, and the cherry blossoms stay later in the year than down in Washington DC, plus, you have way fewer crowds!
I’m really looking forward to seeing them again this fall!

This is my second time photographing this family, and amazingly, it won’t be my last!
This is the perfect spot to get those DC cherry blossoms without the insane crowds.
It was really cold during our shoot, but you’d never know with those smiles on their faces!
