You know how there are some people who, when you meet them, instantly feel like old friends. That’s the Corum-Mack Family. They were an absolute joy to work with. Family is the most important thing to Simone and Ervine, and you can really see that through their photos! If I could work with people like this in Maryland for the rest of forever, I would be completely happy.
The thing that stood out the most was how much these kids are loved and cared for. Simone and Ervin have a calmness and joy about them that you could tell gives their kids the safety they need to be brave enough to explore the world around them. They are happy, loved, and will no doubt follow their parent’s footsteps and become amazing grown-ups who will love and care for their own families the way their parents have.
It’s always fun for me to learn about how my couples met. Their story is so cute, I can’t resist sharing! When Simone moved into a new apartment, a knight in shining armor came to take advantage of the opportunity to meet the new girl. Ervin swooped in, helped her move, and immediately asked for her number. After teasing him for being a creeper, Simone agreed to go out with him and then proceeded to kick his butt in every game at Dave & Busters. Now the two have two beautiful children, Jalil and Sanaa. This family loves to laugh together and stays on their toes while watching Jalil transform into Spider Man and Sanaa broaden her sophisticated palette by tasting everything and anything.

This session was at Gambril Mill, a historic mill right on the Monocacy River in Frederick, Maryland. Fun fact: It was used as a field hospital during the Civil War!
