Family pictures at Seneca State Park in Maryland during the Peonie Blossoms? Um...... YES! Need I say more.
Seneca State Park is an incredible location with a beautiful wild peony garden. The blooms are only in blossom in the first couple weeks of May but they are so worth photographing in. This location is so convenient with parking right across from the peonies. It is easy to find and a short distance away from the perfect shooting location, which makes it the perfect place for a family photo session.
The Ripptoes were so understanding and flexible with this shoot! Because the blooms only come at a certain time of the year, we ended up having to push back our session, but thankfully they were willing to work with nature, and it gave them the prettiest blossoms in their photos.
Kristen and John started dating in high school, went to college together, and got married in 2015. These high school sweethearts are now parents to the cutest blue-eyed little boy named Henry. The Ripptoe Family loves to visit new cities and experience new places together. As a result of Covid-19, the Ripptoes quickly found new hobbies based at home spending tons of time together! They have enjoyed watching movies together, going on walks, cooking new foods, and fixing up their home.
The Ripptoe family is just a fun-loving, easy-going, and adaptable family. They are so excellent to work with whatever is thrown their way, whether it is Coronavirus or late blossoming flowers.
It was such a blast meeting the Ripptoe family and being able to capture the beauty of their family. If you are looking for an excellent location for a family photo session in the spring, I highly recommend trying for the wild peony fields in Seneca Creek State Park in Maryland. It is absolutely gorgeous!
